General Terms and Conditions for car rentals

For categories Α, AH, Β, C, NAH the minimum age requirement for drivers is 21 years old, whereas for all other categories it is 25 years of age.

For all categories, the renter must present a credit or debit card in the driver’s name to cover the amounts related to the deposit and payment of the rental cost. In case of maximum insurance coverage (Full Cover), the customer can pay in cash.

The minimum rental period is 24 hours. At the end of the agreed rental period, the renter shall be entitled to a 30 minute grace period to return the vehicle at no extra charge. Once the grace period expires, the renter shall be charged with an extra day’s rent.

All fines and administrative penalties resulting from the driver’s liability are fully borne by the renter. The renter is charged an additional 10€ beyond the fine amount, in the event that we handle the fine payment on their behalf.

All drivers authorised by Padou Rentals are covered against damages to the rented vehicle caused by fire, and also have third-party liability coverage for death, injury and material damages.

The renter’s liability for damage to the rented vehicle can be limited, provided that the Highway Code is not violated, to a minimum charge of 650€ for categories A, AH, B, 800€ for categories C, NAH, and 1000€ for category E, by paying 6€, 8€, and 12€ respectively per rental day, which is included in the initial price of each car. CDW coverage does not cover damage to the underside of the car, to the windows (including windows and windshield), to the wheels, and to the tires.

With theft coverage, the renter can limit their liability for total theft of the rented vehicle to 650€ for categories A, AH, B, C, NAH, and 1000€ for category E, which is included in our insurance. Theft of all or part of the car caused by the renter’s negligence (e.g., leaving the key in the ignition or inside the car, or leaving the car unlocked) is not covered.

The customer receives the vehicle with a full tank of fuel and is required to return it with a full tank. Should the customer return the vehicle with a smaller quantity of fuel, then they shall be charged for the fuel that was consumed, while a “Refuelling Service Charge” will also be applied.

Only available by booking for a daily charge of 4€ and 4€, respectively.

Any collection/delivery taking place outside of any Padou Rentals stations shall incur an additional charge of 10€ within the city. If collection/delivery takes place outside the city, there will be an additional charge of 0.50€/km for categories A, AH, B, C, NAH and 1€/km for category Ε. The charge for any deliveries/collections after hours is 20€.

Padou Rentals vehicles cannot be transferred across the borders.

This is only permitted with Padou Rentals’ prior written consent. Any damages caused to the rented vehicle in transit shall not be covered by any insurance.

In case of an accident or damage, free roadside assistance is provided by Padou Rentals.
